Born in a basement studio. A name for music made away from the noise, among machines, cables, unfinished ideas and the hours when nobody else is listening.
The storyBasement Mouse began as the name of a music project connected to a small studio built below ground — another room for recording, experimenting and making things simply because they needed to be made.
The name belonged to a period of musical exploration: a separate basement studio, a collection of equipment and the possibility of giving certain productions a different identity.
The music eventually moved in other directions and Basement Mouse remained largely dormant. The name, however, never disappeared.
This site is its home again.
Recordings, experiments, unreleased material and other pieces of the Basement Mouse archive may eventually surface here.
